Brief Description: Begin fitting canopy skirt - Part 2
The photos included here show the skirt with the clay applied and sanded to the desired contour. On the second photo you can see where the piece of the skirt was cut and reglassed to get a tighter fit against the fuselage. The next step will be to apply some Poly-Fill over the clay/skirt edges and sand to a final contour (see next entry).
The gold color of the clay is due to a coat of shellac I applied to seal it against epoxy resin. Once filler and glass cloth is applied I will remove the clay material from underneath and replace with more filler and cloth.
