Brief Description: Glare shield and windscreen spacers
I obtained a piece if black leather from a local motorcyle leather shop, trimmed to appropriate shape, and glued it to the fuselage top skin. The holes for attaching the Garmin GPS antenna were located and punched thru the leather as well. I had already determined the appropriate spacer thicknesses for the gap between the windscreen and canopy bow so it was just a matter of attaching the correct number of washers at each screw location with epoxy. In a later entry I will describe how I created a fillet/filler to fill this gap between spacers and actually hide the spacers as well.
