I spent some time this morning with a Dremel and sandpaper cleaning up t he fit of the cowl pin covers. The fiberglass needed some material removed to recess the covers a bit. Also, the covers had to be countersunk to get the stainless screws flush.
I also accomplished the final fitting of the empennage fairing. This consisted of countersinking all the attachment holes for #6 screws and countersunk washers. I decided to use the washers to spread the stress on the fiberglass around the screw holes. After countersinking, the fiberglass is pretty thin around the holes.
