Brief Description:  Wiring for pitch trim & rudder lights

I have been trying to decide how to wire the trim servo in the port elevator and the navigation/position/strobe light in the rudder for the past few days while engaged in some other activities. The biggest issue is how to route the wires so they don't get strained or chafed. Another decision is how to terminate the wiring and connector choice so the surfaces can be easily removed if necessary for maintenance.

Anyway, here is how I decided to connect the servo wires (5 conductors) to the servo unit. These are tiny wires and pins, 26 gauge. The pins are crimped to the wire which is a challenge with old eyes and arthritic fingers. I chose to use D-sub pins like the little gold pins you see in computer connections since they fit the 26 gauge wire better than larger molex pins. I won't install the actual D-sub connector but just connect the pins individually and cover with heat shrink. Makes a pretty neat and secure connection.
