There are a number of fiberglass parts that must be attached to the ends of the empennage structures (horizontal stab, elevator tips, upper/lower rubber caps). These parts must be trimmed to fit and match drilled. In addition, they must have metal backing strips epoxied on the inside edges so they can be riveted. The strips reinforce the surface so the rivets don't pull thru the fibergalss.
Also, some of the fiberglass parts must have some foam "bullkheads" fabricated and glued in place to provide a backing for some fiberglass layups. I found some foam insulation material at Lowes and used the bandsaw and sander to make the bulkheads. They were then glued in place with epoxy.
You can see, I still have to fill, sand, and finish the open ends of these components.
