I mentioned a problem earlier with the clearances and compatibility of my modified "rams horn" intake tubes and the stock Vetterman exhaust pipes. I was able to locate a set of aftermarket "near stock" intake tubes for a Lycoming M1B engine cnfiguration at AeroSport Power up in Canada. They were much more reasonable in cost than Lycoming tubes so I order a set. Image 1 below shows the new tubes being test fitted. Notice the better clearance between the intakes and exhausts.
Image 2 below shows the starboard side of the engine (cylinders 1 & 3). The pipes all fit but notice the clearances on cylinder 3. The new intake tubes provide much better clearance.
