Haven't been working too much in the shop this winter on the aeroplane, however, we did get started on a hangar/workshop for the project. Phil Spaugy, owner/operator of Aviation Sales, Inc. at DAY, has a damaged T-hangar that he is allowing me to renovate for my RV-8 project. Image 1 shows the front of the hangar with a new footer poured at the front of the slab floor.
Some sealing and flashing work will be required at the top of the walls where they meet the steel roof. Also a little demo work required to remove some old hardware that supported a bifold door in the past.
