Today I enlarged the holes in the windscreen using the same procedure as was used on the bubble.
The manufacturer of the canopies has offered to bake/cure my fitted canopy to the steel frame so I did some extra steps to prepare the assembly for curing. I had used transparent 2" packing tape to seal the edges of the plastic protective coating. Since I don't want to bake the tape/plastic to the canopy I removed the tape. The tape leaves a sticky residue that I had to remove from the canopy surface (not sure how the heat might effect it). I had used the tape on both the inside and outside of the canopy so it took quite a while to remove the glue.
I then clecoed the canopy to the frame. I plan to call the manufacturer tomorrow and see when I can deliver the canopy/frame for curing. I am hoping the bake/cure process will relieve any minor stressed still in the canopy after clecoing to the frame. Anything I can do that may reduce the possibility of cracking is worth the effort.
