Brief Description:  Canopy trimming - part 2

I have to admit, I like trimming this canopy about as much as I liked building fuel tanks and that wasn't much. I feel like I am stumbling around in the dark on this task. Anyway, I keep marking the front contour about 3/8" at a time and trimming. I have trimmed the rear only once so far but will probably cut another 1/2" at the most off the aft end tomorrow. With each forward cut the canopy comes down a little. I think it is about 1" away from the roll bar and sliding frame at present but it is difficult to measure from outside the cockpit. I do seem to have a nice contoured fit so far on the windscreen. Just hope I can maintain this fit as the canopy comes down. Also hoping the canopy does eventually contact the roll bar and sliding frame.

Did I mention how much I dislike cutting this canopy?
