Brief Description: Temporary install of forward fuselage top skin
I riveted the small skin ribs that attach just aft of the canopy bow. The skin was then clecoed and the clearance was checked where the canopy frame slides up to or under the forward fuselage top skin. Initially I thought just the top section of the skin would have to be removed as shown in the photo. However, after talking with some other builders I learned the skin should be cut vertically just along the edge of the rib. This will allow the frame with canopy and skirt to slide all the way forward and later fiberglass will be laid up from the bow back about an inch or so to overlap the canopy assembly.
