Brief Description: Fabricated trim relay mounting tray
Took me a little time to find a place to mount the Matco trim relays where they wouldn't interfere with any of the other components located behind the instrument panel. My final solution was a small tray that is riveted to the fuselage cross member. The tray has a length of velcro strap attached beneath it and is padded with a small strip of foam. The two Matco relays can be set end to end in the tray, pressed down into the foam and strapped into place with the velcro.
The two relays are accessible through the removable panel located on the rear bulkhead of the forward baggage compartment. I will leave enough slack in the wiring so the relays can be pulled into the baggage compartment allowing the adjusting screws to be seen and easily accessed.
