Brief Description:  Finished riveting the aft fuselage upper skin

Well, I found it really is possible for a six foot 195 lb 62 year old to squeeze back into the RV-8 tail cone long enough to buck the longeron rivets. It sure isn't comfortable and you have to be a bit of a contortionist but it is possible. My biggest problem after getting my head and one arm through the bulkhead was seeing my work. I had some vertebrae fused in my neck some years ago so moving my head around to focus on the rivets was a real pain, literally!

To get all the rivets in the tail cone you find yourself sometimes on your back, other times on your stomach and still other times on your sides. Oh, and getting out once you are squeezed all the way back in the cone is another challenge. I got more than one cramp and that was a hoot!
