Brief Description: Purchasing more components for cockpit
I need to finalize the instrument panel layout including the auxiliary side panels. To do this I needed a few final items like a compass and some toggle switches. I also needed the various fuse blocks and terminal strips to finalize the configuration of the aft side of the forward baggage bulkhead. This panel that lies just above and behind the brake lines is where I intend to mount most of the supporting electrical components (encoder, fuse blocks, some relays, etc.
Seen below is the "Master Kit" I acquired from Stein. Hopefully, this kit has most of the electrical items I will need to complete the RV-8 including some required tools. It appears to be quite comprehensive. You can see the inventory of items by logging onto Stein's site and looking up "Master Kit" under documents.
You will also see below a vertical card compass by Falcon and latches needed to complete a storage compartment I added to the cockpit. I have never liked the std wet compass. The compass below looks more like a DG and has no fluid to leak. I plan to mount it in the left aux instrument panel just above the air vent.
