Brief Description:  Final fitting of throttle quadrants

I made some minor mods to the throttle installation for the DJM quadrants. Van's rear throttle kit called for a rod end bearing on the rear cockpit lever but there isn't enough room for the bearing when using the DJM unit. I ordered a clevis to match the one called for on the front throttle and used it to attach the control rod to the rear lever. By the way, you would be surprised how much a simple aircraft grade clevis costs!

I then clecoed the cap in place that ties the two bulkheads together at the spar box. The cap was marked to remove a small amount of material where the control rod passes through the bulkheads. The plans require 1/16" minimum clearance between the rod and the bulkheads it passes through.

I also shortened the control rod to guarantee 1/8-3/16" adjustment at each end and 1/2" thread engagement with the clevises. Both throttle levers were checked to ensure full movement from closed to open.
