Brief Description:  Began installation of throttle quadrants

Assembling the front quadrant wasn't too difficult but did require a little fitting. One of the nutplates already installed interfered with the new throttle fitting snugly to the aluminum housing. The Dremel tool with a little grinding wheel fixed the problem quickly.

The only other issue with the front assembly was a required spacer, again to make the deluxe quadrant fit flush within its aluminum housing.

The rear throttle was another matter. It required cutting a rectangular opening in a fuselage member (see image 2 below). I also had to make a spacer to reposition the quadrant outboard about 3/16" to make the engraved markings visible (didn't want to cut too close to the edge of the fuselage member). Also had to match drill Van's rear throttle components to the custom quadrant.

It took some time but the result looks good. I still need to do a little deburring where I did the rectangular cut. Next step will be make the push/pull rod and tie the two quadrants together. Cutting the holes for the push/pull rod will be another tedious time consuming task.
