Brief Description:  Fabricated the throttle quadrant

I worked at the museum today but did get a couple hours in the shop later in the evening. I decided to go ahead and fabricate the cable anchor per the drawing even though the drilled holes are not exactly as they appear in the landing gear box bulkheads (close but not exact). I may call Van's tomorrow just to double check.

In any event, the anchor was made quickly using a wood cutting band saw, vixen files, a unibit, and a scotchbrite wheel. The bracket was then match drilled to the quadrant and the four mounting holes were tapped to 8-32 for screws. The bracket and the two parts of the throttle quadrant were then assembled and installed temporarily in the fuselage. It all went together nicely.

There are just a couple small items to complete and it will be time to either flip the fuselage, match drill the gear legs and skin the bottom forward fuselage or begin mounting th empennage. It would probably be best to do the landing gear and then move to the tail feathers.

Before either, however, I want to install a removable panel in the rear baggage compartment so I can access the battery quickly for inspection and/or servicing. I need to do a little research on the forums in preparation but I already have the necessary aluminum sheet, platenuts, screws, and hinge material if required.
