Brief Description: New tools delivered

While fitting the reinforcement plates on the landing gear boxes and the center section, I decided to purchase some wingnut draw type clecos. I thought the draw type fasteners might do a better job pulling the multiple layers of metal together than the regular spring clecos, especially until the match drilling is completed. I find the 3/32" clecos difficult to insert sometimes, especially when dealing with thicker materials. Once match drilled, of course, they can be inserted and removed much easier and they do a good job pulling components flush for riveting.
Tools are kind of like potatoe chips to me. I can't eat just one or in this case, I can't buy just one. In my defense, if an order exceeds $100 with The Yard Store, the shipping is free so I always check my notes and the current catalog to see if there are any other tools needed now or in the future. In addition the 60 wingnut clecos (30-3/32" and 30-1/8"), I picked up an Adel nibbler, a rivet cutter, 50-1/8" spring clecos, a wingnut/hexnut cleco driver, and some plastic protective caps for both the wingnut clecos and my universal rivet set.
Actually, I didn't need to add anything to the cleco order to get the free shipping. You wouldn't believe what a single new wingnut cleco costs ($2.40 ea).
By the way, I want to put in a plug for the Yard Store. I discovered this Witchita, KS company through my work at the National Museum of the USAF. I have ordered a lot of my RV-8 tools from these folks and they are GREAT. Overall, the prices and quality are excellent, and delivery is lightning fast. They are one of my prime suppliers.
