I skipped Ohskosh '09 to reduce expenses after ordering my wing kit. This year, however, I decided to attend even though the fuselage kit was even more costly than the wings. After all, there are only so many Airventures you can attend in a lifetime. Connie and I launched in the Chrysler at 0600 Dayton time and were at the EAA Museum by 1400 Dayton time. Certainly not as fast as an RV-8 but not bad for driving, especially through Chicago.
I have hundreds of pictures from the week but chose just three for my journal (the world's busiest control tower, Danny King's Beautiful Doll, and a bird named High Cotton). It was a tough week for the Airventure organizers but we had a great time.
