I got back to serious work on the fuel tanks today. In preparation for sealing the skin stiffeners and baffle to the tank walls, I organized all my sealant materials, went through a dry run of the process. I also checked the plans for the correct rivet callouts and double checked the parts location.
I was able to work through a bunch of small practical problems and set up all my equipment to go right into sealing the T-711 fuel tank skin stiffeners tomorrow.
I also disassembled the tank which was held together with clecos, and cleaned off the tank skin inpreparation for sealant application.
