Brief Description: Finish and Install Aileron Brackets
In this work session, I finished the right wing aileron brackets. I began by riveting the brackets together for the right wing (the left wing had been done incorrectly and needed to be redone). I used the hand squeezer to set the rivets attaching the sides and the angle stock together. I then attatched the outboard bracket to the wing using the squeezer and the rivet gun to install AN470AD4-8, & -9 rivet. Later I noticed that the upper rivets in DWG #10A were to AN470 but the bottom rivets on the inner and outer brackets were to be AN426 rivets. So I removed the lower rivet on the outer and inner bracket. Then countersunk the lowest hole using a deburring tool and a countersink cutter so an AN426AD4 rivet would sit flush. I then spot primed the countersunk hole and installed the AN426 rivet using the squeezer. Finally I installed the inner aileron bracket using the 3X rivet gun and bucking bar.
