Brief Description: Building the Upper F-705A Bulkhead
In this work session I worked on the Upper 705A seat back bulkhead. I match drilled the F-705K & L parts to the F-705F Channel. I accomplished by drawing a line down the center of each respective mating surface, clamping, then sequentially drilling and clecoing each hole as I went down the line. Once I completed the F-705L, I repeated the process on the F-705K.
To match drill the F-705J, I drew a line along the directed rivet line and marked each rivet poisition, beginning the first hole 1/4" x 1/4" from the left side, then marked a rivet hole every 1 31/32" interval. Then I deduced the correct vertical position of the F-705J on the F-705F using math to find the position which left a 1/8" gap between the inside edge of the F-70J and the top of the F-705F.
I still have to accomplish two more tasks on the F-705K: 1) I have to countersink the rivet holes on the top of the F-705K. 2) I have to impart a 4 degree bend onto the F-705K
I also countersunk the rivet positions for the K1000-08 nutplates on the F-705D-L & -R
I also still have to drill the F-661EF Flap Bearing Blocks.
