Brief Description:  Right Fuel Tanks Final Assembly Preparation

I know these pictures are posting upside down, but I have no idea why this keeps happening with Kitlog pro...

I started working on final assembly of the wing tanks. I had to start by going backwards a few steps. First I went back and re-fluted the fuel tank ribs ro emove as much oil canning as possible. This allows the ribs to slide into postition with as little effort as possible. After re fluting the right tank fuel ribs, I inserted them into the fuel tanks skin and clecoed them into place to check how well the pieces fit together.

Next, I worked on the rear fuel tank baffle and the spar attachment z-brackets. I realised that the primer needed to be removed from the face of the z-bracket where it meets the face of the rear baffle to allow the sealant a clear surface to adhere to. So I removed the primer. Then I checked to make sure I matched the proper baffle to the proper side skin and that all of the z-brackets were placed into their match drilled positions.

Lastly I began forming the T-715 clip for the fuel vent line.

After this I will disassemble the tanks, clean them and prepare them for sealing.
