Brief Description: Countersink & Dimple of Spar Tunnel
I countersunk the forward and aft angles for the spar box supports. The forward angles are tough because the are already riveted in place, but they came out good. The aft ones were easier since I could remove them, but some of the countersinks still look a little ugly, as they are a little offset. I cleaned them up and they are serviceable, but I'm glad they won't be visible. :)
I dimpled the tunnel sheet metal holes as well. I wanted to do this in place to make sure the dimples matched the countersinks as well as possible. I was able to do the aft area on the table, but the forward angles and tunnel had to be done in place. I used Sonex's "simple dimple die" for all dimpling, it seemed to work well. After dimpling each hole I tested the fit with a CCC-44 flush rivet, they all looked good.
