Brief Description: Drill upper/lower firewall; Disassembly and deburr
I trimmed the upper firewall bow a little more to clear the longerons better, and drilled the upper/lower firewall joint to final size (#30).
I prepared to disassemble the forward fuselage by moving my supporting sawhorse from under the spar tunnel to underneath the first aft fuselage crosstie. I had to add some weight to the very rear of the fuselage beacuse the CG have moved rearward, and I wanted to make sure everything stayed stable.
I removed the firewall and deburred the upper firewall. Deburring stainless steel is a very slow process...some of those burrs just really do not want to come free. It takes a lot of elbow grease, and the metal doesn't seem to take holes as smoothly as aluminum.
