Fitted Former #1 and the brackets to the crosstie box and upper splice plate. At first it didn't look like the radius of the formers would match the skin very well, but once I put it all in place (no room for clamps, used blue painter's tape) it fit quite well.
The splice plate went on well after a little measuring, and then I attached the forward splice channel clip to the splice plate. Finally, I attached the crosstie brackets to the bottom of the formers and the crosstie box.
