Today I spend time with more sanding and preparation of the balance part including the fibreglass work to laminate the part onto the HS with one layer of 10oz and one layer of 6oz glass. I filled the hole in the Balance part with a 5mm Balsa insert to give a base for the 1mm fibreglass cover sheet. After Fiberglassing the parts onto the HS I covered the parts with clear plastic and used an old plastic card as a squeeze to give a smoother finish and less sanding. Managed also to cover the laminated parts with a thick (2mm) layer of filler where I use Micro balloons because there is a step to fill in from the balance part to the stab. Micro balloon filler does a great job it is very light, easy to sand and still flexible and hard enough. I guess I'll spend the next few evenings with sanding and filling to get these parts finished.
