Brief Description: Canopy Strut Mount and Cockpit Vent
The canopy strut mounting bracket was installed as per instruction. Unfortunately the angel is in a way that it will stand up and as to be filled in later. Therefore I decided to install the alum bracket permanently and also enforced the back side with hysol glue to give a flat surface to sit on. This part will get a lot of pressure from the canopy opening and closing! The vents sit on an angle on the back side of the dashboard because the vents have to be as far as possible to the centre of the dash it will sit on the bevelled edge with a gap between. Its a detail but I didn't like it. That’s why I put glue on the edge of the cut out and pressed the vent on it. But covered the vent first with Vaseline so it does not bind with the glue! This produced a nice flat surface for the vent and no gap between the dash and the vent!
