Brief Description: Trimmed right HS skin and mounted elevators.
Today I finished trimming the HS skins to counterweight gaps as shown in picture # 3. After that Tanner and I mounted the elevators on to the horizontal stabilizer. The elevators move free without binding, but the rod end bearings will need to be adjusted as the edges aren't quite square with the HS. It is finally starting to look like something that belongs on an airplane. I'm guessing that the whole assembly weighs about fifty pounds and it is awkward to handle due to its size. Tanner was a big help in holding things while I put the bolts in place.
