Brief Description:  Marked elevator tabs for bending, made blocks.

This morning I marked a line on each tab that needs to be bent on the inside surface of the elevator, adjacent to the cut-out for the trim tab. I made wood blocks of the same angle (14 - 15 degrees) that will be used to bend the tabs against. The blocks are a little short and will need to be remade which won't be a big deal now that I know the angle.

It was -3 degrees F this morning outside, but my garage/shop was still 60 degrees which is a comfortable working temperature. If I didn't have the project in my house and a heated shop, I don't think I could ever finish a project like this.

With this work session, I now have 141.5 hours on the project since 6/30/07. That is 26 weeks with an average of 5.4 hours per week. My goal was 6 hours per week so I am slightly behind that, but not too bad. I don't have a deadline and will have more time than money, so it will take what it takes. I am closing in on the end of the tail in another 20 hours or so I would guess, or about a month. We will see.
