Brief Description:  Worked on left HS skeleton and skin.

Today I continued on the left HS (horizontal stabilizer) skeleton and skin. I made a mistake when riveting HS706 to the skin when the rib flange was not flush. I drilled out that rivet and installed another. A good trick I read about when surfaces aren't flush is to give the rivet a few hits with the gun to tighten it up in the holes of both materials, then hold the bucking bar next to the rivet and hit it again a few times. This brings the materials flush together and the partially driven rivet holds them in place and you then finish driving the rivet as normal. Worked well.

Holding the bucking bar with one hand and the rivet gun in the other is getting easier, but is still awkward. The tungstun bucking bar is working well and gives a lot of mass in a small area. My hand will barely fit inside the structure and the tungstun bar helps with this a lot.
