While at my in-laws over the weekend I went to a Flea Market and Car Show at the Ellsworth Fairgrounds. I bought some o-ring picks for $5 and a nice engine stand for $15. It is missing the 1/2" bolt to lock it into position and the handle for moving it around. Neither part is a big deal and considering a new one is $80 - $100, I got a pretty good deal.
The engine stand will be used to mount the fuselage firewall where the engine mount bolts on. The tail of the fuselage will have a piece of pipe on it which will then allow the fuse to rotate like a rotisserie. This will allow easy access to the inside of the cockpit for all of the painting, wiring, and installation of the systems without having to lean in over the top of the canopy rail. This is another idea from VAF.net and is a real back saver according to the guys that have used it.
