Today I quickly riveted the front spar together using my squeezer. Then, I spent a couple hours fitting and riveting the front rib in the horizontal stabilizer halves. About this time is when my local EAA tech counselor stopped by and looked at my work. He said my rivets look great and everything is to spec. With that, I clecoed the skins onto the front spar, and then began the task of riveting everything together. I had to use blind rivets (Pop Rivets) for the rib webbing since I can't get behind the spar to buck regular rivets. It's a tight fit, but I made it happen. Next, I started riveting the end of the spar to the tip rib. I had an oops moment when my rivet gun slipped, and now I get to order a new rib from Vans. I'll take a few days off while that arrives.
