Brief Description: Fitting Wing Skins to the Skeleton
Fitting wing skins to the skeleton. I wanted to locate the wings to insure I mark them correctly. The plans /instructions call for a different piece of material for the wing walk doubler. I called Van’s to be sure that I had the correct stock. AS3-025x10x48 was supplied instead of the AS3-025x9 3/8x26 specified.
I will take the supplied stock to Sarasota Avionics to borrow their shear to make the cut. I’ll leave the width at 10” instead of cutting it down to 9 3/8”
Again: I will wait until the holes are drilled and all necessary parts a dimpled before I rivet the skeleton together.
