Brief Description: third taper cut on spar cap plus spacer cutout
I wanted to double-check the relative speed of making these cuts with jigsaw versus router, so I did a rough cut with the jigsaw followed by a fine trim with the router. The router is definitely faster, whether doing the whole cut by itself, or just doing a fine trim following another cut. In the course of making this cut I realized that my first two cuts were incorrectly placed. For some reason I had made my 20-inch taper cut 20 inches from the outboard end of the wing, when I should have made that cut 32 inches from the outboard end, or 40 inches from the root end of the wing. Fortunately this is an easily-recoverable error, since I just have to remove some more material. Not one of those errors that requires adding back on some incorrectly removed material. In this work session I also cut out the spacer pieces of one-eighth inch aluminum bar for the center section spar carry-through.
