Brief Description: more detailing on the mold for top cowl
continuing to prepare the mold for the top cowl. I am moving from the idea of just using microballoons to fill in specific defects in the mold, to a more general coating of all or most of the mold with microballoons. The microballoon mix shows two different colors. the beige or pink area is mixed using Easypoxy, and the white is mixed using Aeropoxy with the 3060 fast hardener. I am also working on designing the mold surfaces for the air inlets and the opening for the crankshaft. I plan on using a tuna can and some aluminum scraps to form up the sleeves inside the cowling. I may want to add another layer of fiberglass to the surface of the mold in the area of these openings.
