Brief Description:  cutting metal for aileron control rods

I am continuing to make progress on the aileron control rods, though the progress is agonizingly slow. I am trying to make absolutely sure I know how long each rod needs to be, before I cut the aluminum tubing for the final version of each rod. I am using wooden dowels (much cheaper) to model each position before I cut the aluminum tubing for that position. as of today I have three of the aluminum tubes cut and installed, and only one left as a wooden dowel. on the left side I am able to achieve the full swing of 35 degrees, which will be 20 degrees up and 15 degrees down. On the right side I am still struggling to get that full swing. So tomorrow's work will be focused on getting the correct length for that last wooden dowel, which will give the right aileron it's full travel.
