Brief Description:  more struggles with aileron pushrods

this was a very frustrating day, and I feel like very little actual progress was made. Using the dowels to mock up the pushrods is only partially successful. works okay for the rods connecting the joystick to the belcranks. But not so good for the rods connecting the belcranks to the ailerons. The dowels are bulkier than the aluminum rods, so narrow clearances are a problem. I had to further enlarge the slot in rib C1, both in length and in height, to allow for bolt head and nut clearance. I am considering moving the point of attachment on the bottom of the aileron a little farther outboard to avoid needing to enlarge the C1 slot ever more. Lots of getting up and down to view the situation from below, above, and fore and aft. Among other problems, I am finding that the elevator stop installed on the angle that supports bearing for the belcrank is preventing full travel of the joystick. So I need to decide between removing that, or notching out the belcrank to allow a little more travel before contacting the stop. Really not a good day, hope next work day is better.
