Brief Description: second test fitting of the motor mount
I took the motor mount out of its welding fixture and test-fitted it to the firewall and to the engine. It still fits, so the fixture is doing its job. I spent some time today planning the placement of the battery on the firewall, to be sure it will be clear of the motor mount and the accessories on the rear of the engine. I also cut an drilled some angle iron that I plan to use to hold the motor mount feet stationary after I remove one side of the welding fixture. There are a few more welds I am going to be able to make with the fixture intact, but very soon I am going to have to remove part of the fixture to get access to final welds. when I do that I will use the angle irons to maintain the motor mount feet in their proper positions.
