Brief Description: applied mold release agents, laid out tools & clot
Put in my last best efforts to smooth out the interior surface of the mold. It's still far from perfect, but I am satisfied that it will make a safe and airworthy bottom cowl. It will be obviously homemade and hand-made but I expect to be happy with it. After doing the last few spots of sanding, I covered it with three coats of the Part-All wax and topped it off with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). I also cut out and prepped the fiberglass cloth for pre-pregging between plastic on the workbench. I will be getting some help from my daughter to do the lay-up tomorrow morning early to beat the heat. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
