Brief Description:  applied second layer of fiberglass to mold

Applied the second layer of fiberglass laminations to the mold. In some respects this layer went better than the first. I got some help from my daughter, so with two people mixing simultaneously and a lot of the pre-pregging done in parallel, the total elapsed time to get the second layer on was shorter than the first layer. I had the feeling that we might have been able to get the third layer on today, but it was a very close call. I didn''t want to take a chance on the epoxy setting up halfway through that third layer. I also didn't want to burn out my helper by getting into a stressful situation that made it stop being fun for her. So I made the decision to forego the third layer, and instead spend the last little bit of working time trying to make the second layer better. I addressed several long wrinkles and big bubbles by splitting them and overlapping the edges. This would not be acceptable on a cowl I actually intended to fly with, but for a mold I think this is okay. So I have one more day of lamination to go through before I get to split this mold, pull it off the plug and see what I have to work with.
