So I test fitted the engine to the fuselage today. That may seem premature, and in a lot of ways it is, but I felt I really needed to see the engine in place for several reasons. One was that I need to finalize the routing of the fuel line, and for that I need to see exactly where the carburetor is going to sit so I can insure a consistent downhill flow from tank to carb. I also need to make a new motor mount, since none of my first three atttempts at a motor mount are going to work. I want to get a rough idea of how the center of gravity is shaping up, so I know if I need to make the new motor mount with the engine pushed back closer to the firewall. But in general, it feels like a great step forward to see that engine installed.
