The motor mount seems to fit on the firewall okay, with a couple of reservations. The first reservation is that the lower right-hand mount sits out from the firewall a bit and needs pressure to sit flat. I can't tell if this means the firewall is not flat, or my jig was somehow out of plane, or maybe the structure just distorted when I took it out of the fixture. The second reservation is that it fits onto all five bolts because of the adjustability that comes from the fact I made this one out of 7/8 - inch tubing that I got for $1 a foot at a local remnant metal seller. I always planned for this one to be a practice piece. The plans call for using 1/2 inch tubing, the engine manufacturer recommends 5/8 inch tubing, and I can see that using Tubing any smaller than what I have now will require a lot more precision in fabrication. I need to figure out what the weight difference is between 1/2 inch tubing and 7/8 inch tubing.
