Brief Description:  mounted main landing gear on fuselage

Test fitted the used landing gear I bought from Don Larson through the online Thatcher forum. It required a little rework but actually went much better than I had expected. I had already drilled the mounting holes for the landing gear according to the Thatcher plans, which call for drilling directly through the longerons and the landing gear and bolting them together. The used gear I got came with radius blocks, which avoid the need to drill into the gear itself. I used the aft pre-drilled hole for the aft mounting bolt of the radius blocks. I had to abandon the forward pre-drilled hole and drill a new hole for the forward mounting bolt of the radius blocks. I really like the way it turned out, the gear are about an inch forward of original plan, and the fuselage sits about an inch higher due to the radius blocks, and I think those are both positive changes.
