Brief Description:  AS&S Order 1

17/06/12 -- AS&S Order 1

To avoid paying huge amounts in postage I've decieded to break up my orders from AS&S into smaller chunks, Guages in one order, larger equipment in another, parts in another etc etc. They really pack the equipment very very well, so its just another way to save a little money and spend a little more on getting some of the things that I want in my Aircraft, rather than saying I dont want this becuase its $50 more expensive.

I've also of the opinion if it weighs an extra 2-3 kilograms because I've put in some more guages or equipment, it doesnt bother me, I want it the way that I want it. After flying around in a CTLS with a glass screen and costing this out, I thought it would be nicer easier and well more economical for this stage in my flying to get the basics and go from there, rather than spending $10,000 on a $30,000 aircraft to get a glass screen. The young guys at the club are going to be upset, but really, for the first aircraft, I want it to be simple to use and operate.

With this order there was a variety of Decals that I've ordered, nothing that couldnt be sourced locally, but when your getting a few hundred dollars worth of equipment from one place, some decals at $3.00 each wont upset the bank to much, plus it gives that personalised touch to the finished product, I've got some opening decals (Arrow to open)

Purchased some leading edge tape as well, to put on the spats and bug covering surfaces, I've noticed that all of the schools aircraft have this installed, and it makes getting the bugs off so much easier. Some low profile zip ties where next on the order, I could have used plain old electrical zip ties, but I've noticed in some of the skyrangers that they where using non uv stabalised Ties, which is never a good thing, but each to there own! The Low profile heads and high strength will hopefully make for a neater finish.

I got my hands on a GT-50 (http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/inpages/flightdatafc50.php), I was going to put in a seperate 2 1/4" quar
