Installed oil cooler on AeroVee engine. Found hole in crankcase that was tapped for M8-1.25 was not tapped far enough toinstall Oil Cooler Adapter. Several of the tapped holes in my particular crankcase casting were not tapped deep enough. Seems the casting company the built the cases did not use a bottom or plug tap everywhere that they should have. Good idea to chase all threads and check depth of tapped holes before starting to assemble your engine
