Brief Description:  Complete Block Painting and Start Engine Assembly

Removed all masking tape, etc from engine block. A lot less time to remove masking than putting it on.

Made wooden jig to hold crankshaft to workbench for assembly. Used some scrap styrofoam to fabricate a cooler to chill the shaft in preparation for installing bearings, timing gear, and prop hub. Put dry ice in cooler and let shaft chill over-night. Heated timing gear and installed on shaft. Put some remaining pieces of dry ice into a plastic jug and hung on shaft to keep it chilled while prop hub got to desired temperature. Used temperature stick to verify proper temp and hub slid on without any help from a wooden block and hammer. Tightened hub bolt with impact wrench and allowed to cool-removed bolt and torqued to 80 ft lbs with Loctite 243 .
