Brief Description:  Misc engine bottom tasks

Removed the exhaust system. Removed the two oil sump drain plugs. Installed a saf-air quick drain valve in the oil sump port near the centerline. Installed flush oil plug in the outboard port to replace the square drive one that the builder installed because the square drive made contract with the #4 exhaust stack.

Bolted the mixture and throttle cable brackets to the engine sump and installed safety wire.
Cut some firesleeve to length to slide over the ends of the throttle and mixture cables. Mixed up some Red Permatex with MEK and dipped the ends of the firesleeve in to prevent wicking of oil into the fiberglass material. Set the sleeves assigned to dry.

Secured the fuel flow sensor and alternator field wire to two of the engine sump bolts using Adel clamps and steel tabs that I fabricated.
