Removed the canopy bubble from the frame and opened up all of the holes in the bubble and the frame to #30. For the bubble I used a piece of wood to back it up each time I drilled.
Laid out the locations of all of the remaining canopy skirt holes (the ones that don't also hold the bubble) on the frame. Drilled and deburred all of the holes. They're #40 now but will be opened up to #30 after I transfer them to the skirts.
Placed the bubble back on the frame and clecoed it in place. Removed about 10 of the clecos (every 10 to 12 inches per the plans) and replaced them with the soft rivets specified for the canopy glass.
Placed the canopy assembly on the fuselage. Ran three strips of 2 inch wide masking tape along the bottom of the canopy glass and then drew two angles lines for each rivet hole. The lines intersect at the hole and are used to locate the holes when they're covered by the canopy skirts
Trimmed the LH canopy skirt to within 1/2 inch of the molded in scribe line. Cut a relief notch in the aft end to clear the canopy guide rail. Taped the LH skirt in place on the canopy and fuselage.
