Brief Description: Bottom wing skin prep and priming
Low winds and moderate temperatures were forecast for all day today so it was a great day to get the wing skins primed.
I finished deburring the LH bottom skins
Scuffed, cleaned, dimpled and primed all of the bottom skins.
Primed the RH aileron counterweight.
I ended up mounting my DRDT dimpler onto the computer table that my Dad built which I had been using to store the dimpler when not in use. Previously I had been moving the dimpler to my work bench but I realized today that the height of the work bench put the dimpler at too high of a height for me to comfortably operate it. The computer table is lower and the dimpler along with the two wood work surfaces that I made to go with it fit perfectly on the table so I bolted the dimpler to the table and did the skin dimpling on it. It worked great, and now I have a permanent dimpling table and don't have to move the heavy dimpler to the table every time I want to use it. I gained more room under my workbench too since I won't be storing the dimpler work surfaces under it.
