As designed, on end of the flap acuatorl is exposed in the cockpit where the passenger in the rear can come in contact with it potentially getting pinched or greasy. After doring some research on the web I found a flat pattern for a simple cover that can be bolted in place to hide the actuator.
I printed out the flat pattern, glued it to a scrap piece of .032" aluminum with spray adhesive and cut it out with my bandsaw. After deburring the edges I made the various bends per the flat pattern and photos on the web using my cheap, harbor freight bending brake.
After bending I did a tril fit and was pleasently surprised that it fit almost perfectly. All I needed to do was trim a little more near the top edge and it was good to go. The next step will be to drill mounting holes in the cover, the armrest and the F8074 bulkhead, install nutplates, and prime/paint the cover.
